Pros

Pretty flexible schedule as long as you put in your 8 hours Plenty of complimentary food

Cons

The work environment is very cliquey and toxic. If you do not fit into a specific set you will eventually start to feel like an outcast. If you are not a personal favorite of management you will not even be given an opportunity to apply for any vacancies. These are usually given to friends of management with no consideration of merit or experience. One particular member of management expects employees, even those that are not their direct subordinates, to take their verbal abuse as if they are children. This has been occurring for years but this manager has yet to be reprimanded for such harassment by their superiors. Most of this manager's assistants often leave after only a few months and express an emotional relief once they are finally gone. Management micro-manages so much that supervisors that are not in management have no voice and are afraid to stand up for their subordinates when asked. This is a very small company and there is a very "family"-like atmosphere. Unfortunately, this leads to plenty of petty gossip and even the occasional invasion of privacy which management ignores. Despite constant pleas to get more work or responsibilities, management would constantly refuse me the opportunity to grow in my position or to explore other areas to the point I felt stagnant.

Pros

Great Training, Friendly staff, Awesome Guest!!!

Cons

Unrealistic Expectations, Nothing is ever good enough, Regional management builds spies with hourly employees, No respect for home-life work balance (there is none), Very condescending upper level management, Will use you for everything and tear you down for nothing, doesn't respect on-sight managers decisions, Micro-managing to say the least, more reports to keep track of your doings vs. support and attention to what you have achieved.

Pros

Training is great. Customer service oriented.

Cons

There are too many components that other companies have no need for. To many administrative duties and deadlines that leaves you with no time to really focus on guest interactions. This company manages and owns several hotels but will sell them just a quick as they build them. There are some employees making almost double than others, with the same experience and duties. You may be required to report to 10-15 support office employees and 3-4 upper level managers. The emails are non stop. Upper level manager will questions your employees and hold private meetings without your knowledge which creates chaos within your organization. Admits to overworking you. You are still required to perform required Duties when you are on vacation. 10-25 million dollar company who nickel and dimes the associate's YEARLY increases. High turnover. CEO is too hands on and is never pleased, and often is disrespectful.
