Typical Detroit arrogance and short sighted catastrophic leadership

Pros

There seem to be some extremely talented and articulate people in the company, very impressed - just not corporately

Cons

There is a culture of "Ready, Fire, Aim" when it comes to layoffs and the bottom line. No consideration of long term implications. Will cut off limbs to save a buck. No mercy will be shown. CEO seems competent, President should be paid not to talk - he seems to be focused on stamping out any brief signs of hope for a better future. My facility has easily lost 100 people (skilled, experienced veterans) in the last month. We are approaching crisis levels in staffing.

Pros

Clean work environment, compensation is comparable to the rest of the market.

Cons

Communication is not one of the corporations strong points. When asked for a detailed rollout plan for moving forward, "its up to you" is the response that is given. Work life balance is also something that is not maintained well.

Pros

Good location for my commute. Very hard working peers and immediate management.

Cons

The chaos of auto industry, bankruptcy (brought on to some degree by bad corporate/product strategy and by super-sized exec bonuses) have meant lean times for non-execs at the company. ized exec bonuses) have meant lean times for non-execs at the company. The new CEO decision to decentralize is driving up costs and causing serious organizational disruption. The stock is at its highest and morale is low (even lower than during bankruptcy). The staff reductions and self-induced chaos (from decentralization) is pushing many to their limits and pushing many to leave. There is no work-life balance.
