Pros

Some opportunities to work on interesting advanced development projects. Corporate areas of high competency include finance and circuit design.

Cons

Continuous improvement is difficult because it is career-hazardous to ask hard questions or give critical feedback to management. Company continues to dramatically downsize the Van Buren Township, Michigan site. Budgets are very tight as company seems to be positioning itself for sale. Corporate areas of poor competency include software development and human resources. Not gender diverse ... does not have many competent women in leadership roles

Pros

Nice campus in the United States.

Cons

Bully CEO and other upper management follow his lead on treatment of employees. Everything possible being outsourced (mgmt. sees no value in legacy knowledge but is willing to pay consultants for advice not followed). Outsourcing is all to non-U.S. citizens and demonstrates the real 'value' in diversity as none of those are women. Announced no raises this year which is fine if the 'leadership' wasn't traveling and spending exorbitantly; it is reminiscent of the bankruptcy days when the highest level people were being paid record breaking amounts while individuals were taking a 10% pay cut, reduced holiday & vacation days and time off without pay.

Thanks for the review. Some additional information for perspective: Roughly 2/3 of our business is outside of N. America, the historical center of Visteon. As we evolve the company, it is important for us to make a larger proportion of our investments in those regions where our customers are, shifting the center of the company to be more consistent with where our customers are. As such, ours is an extremely diverse organization when it comes to most definitions of the term. The decision to delay (not cancel) annual increases for a segment of our workforce was due to changing economic conditions. It applied to senior management as well as all others. Holidays or vacation days were not changed.

Pros

Nice campus and decent work/life balance.

Cons

CEO lives on the East Coast and phones it in. Several other senior leaders live in other cities or other states and phone it in. As a result, they know little about people who work there or how the company actually works. CEO dictates; never listens. He phones it in, so he doesn't see the eyes rolling as he issues his incorrect decrees or displays his lack of understanding of the business. Company is lost and is living on the planning of previous CEOs.
