Poor work life balance with expectations you put the company first ahead of your personal life/family (was criticized for calling into meetings after hours despite personal commitments), have to accommodate customers lack of planning, learning curve is long and steep as a PM with projects over two years in length, cliques and DEI hiring (especially in Engineering) make it difficult to fit in and some people have no interest in helping others succeed (thankfully this is a small number). PMs with the broad experience of both the technical side AND commercial aspects will be difficult to find.
