Pros

You get a wardrobe of t-shirts. Most of P&C staff do what they can to try and keep morale up. Free snacks, Beni fits are decent

Cons

Poor leadership at C-suite level. Seems like there was a new “plan” to achieve success every quarter.

Pros

A lot of the people you work with are really great and come from diverse backgrounds, some free meals, free snacks...that's basically it. The People & Culture or HR department put in a lot of work to do what they could to make the environment better like events, food, etc. but seemed to have no power to fix the real issues. Unfortunately, a peanut butter sandwich bar doesn't make a failing company better.

Cons

WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN?! I started my journey with Volusion really excited and believed a lot in the company. Turns out the product is so terrible and the ethics are so bad, that instead of fixing what doesn't work, the company turned to forcing the product down people’s throats. Sales leadership has no spine when it came to taking the pressure off the backs of the people who had to sell the product. Instead insisted on "making it simple" aka lying by omission. Most of the users we sold to were an absolute joke, regularly had cards decline for under $20. Management would change bonus structure to raise morale then spike the goal MoM to make it impossible to make money unless you were being a sleazy salesperson. Listed company perks were also a joke. While we had "unlimited" PTO, quota relief was not enough to cover an unrealistic goal and address necessary personal time. Want to take a lunch but haven't hit goal? Goodluck having a manager who doesn't make you feel guilty about it. Want to partake in the "Beer Friday" perk? Just kidding, that's taken away unless you're hitting goal.

Pros

A great majority of the people there are genuinely amazing and are some of the best people you'll ever meet in your career. Taco Friday is always the best. Unlimited PTO was cool when you found the time to take it. Free snacks and drinks was always a plus.

Cons

The looming fear of possibly being laid off/fired in what really is a small, almost start up like company competing with big dogs.
