Pros

1. Exciting Transformation underway to move the company to become an industry leader in tech and digital experiences. 2. Great leadership visibility and support, you will have a direct impact on the business outcomes for Volvo as well as the opportunity to present your work to senior leaders on a regular basis. 3. Opportunity to take on a larger role, with the expansion of the digital team everyone will need to take on more responsibility and help us manage and direct our growth. You also get a chance to be on the ground floor and implement your ideas for how a car company should interact with and sell to customers.

Cons

1. Requires a significant commitment, travel, and off-hours calls are common, but rewarding. 2. Very early in the transformation, can also be a positive, but it essentially like working at an early stage start-up within a larger mature organization. Some roadblocks and old thinking will present challenges.

Pros

Great brand value, and benefits.

Cons

-Its let by people who have no clue. - They layed off most of the people who were adding value while making sure that the directors are safe and get their bonus. The directors specially in the Mahwah office are not technical at all and are leading the technology stream without knowing what to do. As a result they end up making wrong decisions and playing blame games to hide their incompetency and making sure anyone who points out their mistake get fired.

Pros

Laid back culture, they never let go people even if people don't perform at all.

Cons

People who have no experience in the field are heading departments with no vision and making decisions that are harmful for the company. Politics rules in Volvo, you don't need any skills as long as you can butter up your manager. Since the manager themself doesn't have any knowledge, background or experience in the field they'll let you do anything you want with unlimited budget bringing Volvo in a sorry state. If they can revamp their americas management team by getting more technical people who can create right strategies, they can go far. Breaks my heart to see a company with so much potential falling behind due to lack of right talent.
