Good Company, Bad Leadership

Pros

Competitive pay and benefits. That's literally it, and it's not worth the suffering.

Cons

Inexcusably poor leadership. Company preaches many platitudes that it's supervisors do not follow. Salaried personnel are treated very well, while the hourly staff are taken advantage of. If you hurt yourself on the job or possess/develop any disabilities, supervision will not accommodate doctor advice. Plant is run to meet targets, people are just numbers and are not valued as the company claims. HR works for Supervision and will accommodate them to walk all over team members; and if a team member speaks up about leadership they will be silenced and squeezed out. The majority of team members at Volvo are unhappy, and to be at Volvo is to walk through hell each and every day.
