Pros

Great work atmosphere, your managers go above and beyond to make your day work for you without micro-managing you. President actively looks for ways to promote from within. Sales department (Execs, VP of Sales, and President) is awesome! They work closely with other department to ensure the best solutions are proposed for their customers while also building the WAND Digital brand. They hustle hustle hustle and have music playing most of the time. Support team is SECOND TO NONE. These guys and gals are truly passionate about tech and don't just sit around and wait for calls to come in - they actively work on unsolved issues for customers. Overall, a pleasant couple of years spent working for this company! Was promoted from within, but left to be closer to family. Would've stayed if I could! The company has a fantastic product, excellent service, and are growing every week.

Cons

None. This company does a great job of making your 8-hours at work a great time.

Pros

As an "entry level" position in IT, you will learn plenty about the way various pieces of technology communicate to each other that you wouldn't learn many other entry positions. You will gain experience in networking/IP configs, Windows OS troubleshooting, POS and credit card processing technologies, digital signage troubleshooting, and overall the general remote installation/maintenance of the related equipment. There is a heavy emphasis on networking/configuration of the devices when troubleshooting. There are a lot of talented individuals here with knowledge from all sorts of backgrounds, IT and non-IT related - all of which can teach you something. The rest of the support staff is also a lot of fun to be around and the Support Center can be a pretty good time. The COO manages the Support Center directly, and is a solid manager. He creates a competitive work environment without "cracking a whip." He also communicates well with the support staff about how things can improve and has meetings with each of his team on how things are going with them at work. The manager genuinely cares about your growth in your own career, IT or not, while at Wand. Wand has a great culture, from C-level down. Management is genuinely looking to promote from within, and they look for opportunities to do so. They also make it an enjoyable place to work on a daily basis - having a positive attitude is a core principle of Wand, which I see daily from the people I work with. People like working here, and management emphasizes that we spend much of our lives working, so we might as well enjoy it. You also start off with a hell of a lot more PT than many other places. Wand has also been growing like significantly since the reopening after the pandemic.

Cons

There is quite a lot to learn early on. There is no doubt that the range of troubleshooting skills to learn is wide, but the payoff in experience is huge if you grind it out. Sometimes, you won't have the answer right away, and navigating a frustrated customer to a resolution without having one already can be daunting, although you do have your co-workers as a resource. Meeting various customer's communication skills and guiding them through various tasks that need to be done remotely can be highly challenging, yet this is a skill worth developing in today's IT work force.

Pros

VP of Operations, that's about it. One of the best managers I've ever had.

Cons

I GUARANTEE YOU, IF MANAGEMENT REPLACES ALL OF THE TIER 2 TECHS, THE TURNOVER RATE WILL DROP DRASTICALLY. The tier 2 techs act as if they're in a cult together. They'll micromanage you, criticize you for tiny mistakes (Ex, misspelling off by a letter), give you unnecessary workload, get upset when cases are escalated to them, yell at you for going to the bathroom more than 2 times in 8 hours, and act as if they're your manager. They'll also gossip about you. They'll do all of that, but at the same time have fun with each other and talk/laugh pretty much their whole shift. This created a horrible culture that the managers don't know about. They'll pretend to be extremely nice at first to trick you into accepting the offer.
