Pros

Pay can be above average. Free water.

Cons

Trash company now acquired by Macquarie Investment Partners (MIP) V fund of Australia. This fund is "unlisted" and not publicly traded. More on that later. Field sites are dirty and loud places... recycling centers, waste to energy plants, landfills, truck maintenance, etc. Watch out for that garbage water! Win Waste HQ in Portsmouth NH is a nice space, but unfortunately it's almost all open concept with low cubicles. Any cold, flu, or sniffle spreads like wildfire. Management is out of touch with running the business results in mental garbage water... such as telling employees to talk quieter when on the phone at HQ, yet employees have to talk with field employees who are in noisy environments. Does management know that field sites are loud places? The business is run like a wet garbage water towel, with Macquarie wringing out all the water(money) letting the towel dry and get stiff with no room for anything out of the ordinary. Breakdowns? Patch it with WD40 or duct tape... paying annual maintenance contract on critical equipment? Lets skip some of those. Eventually the towel is going to break down and collapse. The animosity from upper management is astounding. High turn over in all aspects of the business, field operations, HR, IT, etc. The former CEO worked on the operations side of the business for years but was recently let go. The new CEO was the CFO (financial) but that is what the new Macquarie owners want. WinWaste profits are funneled into Macquarie funds. Theres no way for WinWaste employees to financially invest in WinWaste. WinWaste does not offer a Pension. (Pensions are the primary way to access Macquarie funds) So if you are looking for long term investment, as an american employee, your long term future is not with WinWaste nor Macquarie. Workers must work in the office, remote/hybrid not allowed. Only 2 weeks vacation to start (Macquarie could mandate 4 weeks vacation like they have in Australia but choose not to) When looking for new jobs, only choose WinWaste if it pays more than comparable jobs in your area. You will be dealing with a lot of garbage water.
