Pros

One of the best companies to work for, if you are looking for the best working culture, work life balance, awesome colleagues, this is the place. Pretty descent bonus, pension plan and other benefits as well. Most people who join don't leave. Technology adaptation is good. yearly pay raises are ok.

Cons

Being a company that does pay survey for organizations, this company is very poor when it comes to pay transparency. They pretty much ignore all requests for better pay for the team. They don't have level based pay increases like most seasoned organizations do. If you are joining WTW, better negotiate a pay you want in five years. And don't expect a pay raise when you get promoted. It will not happen and you have to move mountains to get a raise for someone in your team.

Pros

- Work from home 4 days a week. - Pay is good. - Laid-back and personable mid-level managers. - Free meals the first Tuesday of every month.

Cons

- With the layoffs and budget concerns, upward mobility is stalling. - Job stability concerns. They've had 3 layoffs in the past year and a half. - Preference for offshoring instead of investing in American jobs. - Senior Leadership struggles with goal definition and execution towards those goals. - 1 day mandatory in office. - Accountability issues. Leadership has struggled to enforce best practices for concern of offending people. - The bonus process is a little arbitrary. If you had a "good bonus" last year based upon your performance, they won't let you have a good bonus the next year because "it wouldn't be fair." And sometimes they say "we had a record profit and revenue year.... BUT there isn't enough money for bonuses." - Right now I wouldn't recommend WTW to friends, because I'm worried that I'll have a job in 6 months. I wouldn't do that to my friends.

Pros

Still trying to think of one...

Cons

As if the torture of the open enrollment isn't enough (this year they once again underestimated the number of seasonal benefit advisors they would need) they've created something called "FlexBA" or "Role Utilization (RU) or whatever the name du jour is, but essentially, without giving you any down time after a brutal enrollment season, they throw you into the customer service role and you have to deal with more stressed-out customers who have issues with their reimbursement accounts, denied claims, loss of funding, etc. Yes, it's permanent full-time work, but I was hired to be an insurance agent. But now I am only an active agent for three months out of the year and spend nine months as a funding CSR. I would rather be dragged across a thirty-yard square of #2 grit sandpaper and land in a vat of rubbing alcohol than go through this again. Seriously looking for a better job.
