Good company to start but not to stay
Pros
- flexibility working from home (before COVID) - DC pension plan - 401k match - good company to start a career or make a career transition
Cons
- lack of diversity and minorities in management or upper levels. - no career growth. As a business analyst the only tract they want to keep you on the is the BA tract - too much variance across groups and LOBs. Some work more efficiently and equally than others - expected to work 45 hours a week (leadership asked all workers to add 5 extra hours a week) - benefits are lacking. For the business WTW is in, we should have the best benefits since we have relationships with so many vendors. - terrible pay raises (average is under 2% each year). Even with a promotion you receive the same pay increase. - promotions are hard to achieve. You have to work in the level or position you want at least a year before they will consider you. I saw a lot of people being worked at levels above them for years before they were promoted. - as with a lot of corporate companies bonuses are really discretionary
