Pros

The managers were really great, and wanted you to do well. Excellent sales training. High potential for income. Great Annual National conference. If you produce they treat you like a King, but they are also very clicky.

Cons

Sales is a grind, and it wears on you. not an easy sell. Have to Be lead generator, appointment setter, seller, company set up, switch, and maintenance. hard to price most accounts and gain pricing. Company culture does not want you to have any responsibilities outside the job.

Pros

-Pay - depending on your franchise you can make alot of money (but it takes extremely hard work) -Numerous competitions (corporate or franchise driven) - corporate always gives out opportunity to add more money on top of your base salary. Depending on your franchise, you may also have more competitions to add more money. Corporate usually has a monthly, quarterly, and annual sales competitions. -Learn how to be a professional - great for college students that still have the mindset of a young, driven individual. This job isn't easy and takes the right type of personality. -No micromanagement - This totally depends on your franchise. Mine in particular didn't have any. You have the freedom to do what you want throughout the day, just turn in the results. Training - training throughout the country and constant roleplays with your office throughout the weeks.

Cons

-Cold Calling - expect to hit at least 30-40 doors at a minimum to establish your book of business. -Day to day commute - depending on your office, you may have to check in and check out of your office everyday. Even having to drive an hour to just get to your territory. -Long hours - never expect to leave the office no earlier than 630PM -Turnover on book of business - it may take 3-4 months to close a deal. But one mess up from the carriers to burn a deal. Since this is logistics and everything is outsourced, you can't control when carriers have issues. Sometimes there isn't much communication to the carriers. -Not a lot of Career Opportunities - since everything is franchise based. The highest position anyone can get virtually sales wise is a Sales Manager at the local franchise. Once that position is filled, your nothing more than a account executive or account manager. - Benefits - not that much, to little vacation days. No vision plan.

Pros

Working on the road all day, away from the people that work for this type of company. Easy to get a job here out of college. Travel for training.

Cons

Long list. They use employees to get books of business, then find ways to get rid of them when they start making good money. I won multiple sales contests and had a loyal book of business that left when I did. They lack ethics and are those types of egotistical men and women that think they're better than everyone else. They expect no life outside of work. Seems like you get paid a lot but work 70-80 hours a week. Avoid at all costs.
