Pros

Great way to get into a full sales cycle position Companies will seek you for a position due to them having success with other people who have left WWEX

Cons

The commission is an absolute joke. 3% on Truckload loads. Between 3-8% on LTL and UPS. If you customers are 60+ days past due, you don't get paid commission on it (Even if they end up paying at 61). The plan is designed to keep you floating around the same total comp for a very long time. From the time you "Activate" a deal to when you actually see it on a check is 6 months. Want to hit president club? Haha. Be a top 3% of the entire salesforce. you would have to quite literally 10-15x your first/second year quota to compete against reps who have been there for 10+ years. The competitions are a joke as well. "Hey! Be the top 10/20 in this competition and get MAYBE 1-2% of what you actually made the company."

Pros

Office culture outside of management is great, awesome people work here. food and snacks in office, lots of team bonding exercises. If you are a favorite you get all the support you need

Cons

The commission structure should be illegal. set commission no matter account size first year and it has to be "quality" in their eyes within the first 5 weeks. if its not you receive 0 commission on it even if it eventually becomes "quality". Management is horrendous, they pick favorites and put all their time into those "favorites". The favorites get exclusive leads and meetings, or handed deals for their book of business. When I left Worldwide express I had zero confidence in myself and my abilities due to the mental and emotional gas lighting that goes on. Was told flat out countless times my pitch sucked and I needed to work on it with no guidance. The trainers and managers are entirely too busy with their schedules that its hard to even get 15 minutes of their time for help. I was top 3 in my training class at the start of my employment and one point being the top rep, within the first 6 months. I struggled heavily due to external factors during month 6 and 7 and was placed on an unattainable pip, for which I know for a fact 90% of the reps in that office were not hitting, so the purpose was for termination. I was placed on this pip while in the process of purchasing a house, one of the external factors. The week before I was set to close on my house they tried to terminate my employment, their excuse? "that they probably already confirmed employment I'll be fine." I think that speaks volumes of the culture and values within WWEX. It also speaks volumes of a company who sees someone who is less than 9 months into their employment struggling after being a top rep in their training class and at times in their office placed on a pip, for reason of termination. During this pip I was suppose to having a meeting/call with my manager everyday after work and it only happened for like 3 days then when I would call he would be "putting out fires"

It’s unfortunate to receive this feedback. While we’re unable to discuss the specifics behind a termination in a public forum, we have reviewed your separation in conjunction with Human Resources and can confirm that company policy was followed. If you have additional questions regarding your termiantion, you may reach out to HR@wwex.com for further details. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

-Good entry level opportunity to gain experience -Some cool perks like travel to sales conferences

Cons

-Lack of honesty from management across the board - incredibly political work environment - Old school high volume cold calling approach to business -Company blatantly discriminates in the hiring process - you will be hard pressed to find one sales rep within the company who is over the age of 30 years old or doesn't have the image of a bar stool sports enthusiast. -Politicking is far more important than performance in regards to advancing your career - Also very heavy drinking/alcohol culture within the company -Very cheap, once you begin to maximize your comp plan they will restructure to pay you less while expecting for more production. If you negotiate a higher base salary, the company with take away your promotion incentives without telling you. -Incredibly high turnover, generally due to management going totally unchecked/lack of financial growth opportunity. Turn and burn mentality with managers regarding their reps.

We agree that Worldwide Express is a great place to gain valuable sales experience, especially for those looking to maximize their earning potential. We also know there is ample opportunity for each employee to learn, grow, and succeed long-term. Knowing that we operate with the highest degree of integrity and hold our employees to that same standard, it is difficult to receive this type of feedback. While it appears you’re no longer with us, we hope you’ll consider reaching out to our HR team at HR@wwex.com so we can better understand your concerns. We wish you the best in your next endeavor.
