Pros

The company HAD good culture before combining WWEX, GTZ and UNI. Standard benefits. Holiday party if you're in office. Annual boat outting (salesmen often get too drunk and embarass us at this event). Employee appreciation, WWEX branded merch.

Cons

Meetings I had with managers were completely different depending on who was on the call - sometimes professional and prepared, sometimes hostile and unproductive. WWEX made it clear that they didn't like the questions I was asking (I'm not a lawyer, but GTZ already has a RICO case) and their treatment of me as a "valuable employee" flipped on a dime. Zero integrity from my managers or HR. Cutting corners, pointing fingers and blood thirsty corporate mentality. There are people here who will throw you under the bus and never look back. In the three offices I worked out of, there were a significant number of work hook ups happening after company events or during work hours.

Pros

They gave you tools you needed to succeed.

Cons

They didn't provide much in growth or continual learning. 1 on 1's were rare and no structure for promotions. The corporate office was out of touch with the day to day of the UT office and they showed favoritism to the offices closer to them. After a couple round of layoffs the CEO sent out an email stating that losing those employees was simply "trimming the fat" so to speak. Not something you want to hear about your friends and co workers who just lost their jobs. Employees also received a package sent to their home with wristbands saying "Be Better". Again, not a great approach to inspire loyalty and hard work.

Pros

Unless your passion is sales, there are close to zero pros working for WWEX in operations. The day-to-day consists of non-stop busy work where you are cleaning up messes created by an uninformed customer and/or sales rep. Initiatives to improve these inefficiencies were usually met with abrasion or complete silence. Sales only cares about their quotas and commission and Ops only cares about getting through the day without getting attacked by a customer or rep. It’s a very counterintuitive relationship.

Cons

I had every intention of being a lifetime employee at WWEX and even personally referred 6 of my close friends and family to the company, all of which have made substantial contributions to the organization. I would not refer someone to this company today. Most recently, I went 18 months with no pay raise. When I brought it up to leadership, I was told “there’s nothing I can do for you”. Ultimately, I was told to find a new job by my director. This is not something you want to hear from your direct leadership. I quickly secured an entry-level analyst position elsewhere that paid well above what I was making as a manager of over 12 people. This is wrong and completely goes against their statement of “constantly investing in best-in-class experts.” Finally, I was reminded multiple times that my master’s degree in supply chain carried absolutely no weight in my professional growth at this company. In fact, I was asked to sign into work the day I graduated, even after taking official PTO. I’m equally heartbroken and disappointed overall with how my journey ended up at WWEX. I do not expect WWEX to be around in the next 5-10 years, so get out while you can.
