Pros

Only pro to this job is the corporate training in Dallas, which this franchise doesn't even offer any more. You think it's an easy sell because of UPS, get ready for UPS direct to steal your deals.

Cons

Endless cold calling for a very small salary. Commission is no better at a percentage of the margin, roughly 2% of 20%.....Reaching quota to obtain a higher base and commission is impossible to achieve. The owner of the company is very unapproachable and has little to no concern about the welfare or happiness of his employees. Turn over rate is huge.

Pros

training, fun atmosphere, cell phone and car allowance

Cons

poor management, they say they promote within and that is not the case, they make commissions impossible to reach and don't expect to make much more than your base salary. If your not receiving the commissions, the managers are so they make it as hard as possible for you not to make them.

Pros

The training was second to none. When I went thru the program I made lifetime friendships. The training itself in Dallas is intense, but that way for a reason. These people are putting up thousands of dollars investing in you to go out and sell their product. So they try and weed out everyone as quick as possible. The sales training is an old style, and very basic, but effective. Basically hit as many doors as possible, its a numbers game. And close HARD with C-level execs. IF you can make it in this company for more than 3 months you can land a sales job just about anywhere you want. When I finally stopped drinking the "Kool-Aid" and started looking for a new job, I interviewed at 6 places, and got hired at 5 of them. Everyone in the sales world knows WWEX, and knows if you CAN actually make it more than 3-6 months you did something right. And if you make it more than 1 year, you are very special. I worked for WWEX for about 2 years. My pay started out around 30K with a $300 a month phone/car allowance. I was a top 20 rep nationally, so my pay when I left was around 60k.

Cons

Hitting Quota was impossible. I was the top rep in the district, and top 20 in the country(sometimes top 10), and never hit quota, NEVER. The goals are impossible to hit. Benifits are a joke(health, 401K, ect are all but non-existent) Micromanagement is a joke, because the managers do nothing for your growth except teach you how to be babysitted. But this is how they were brought up... You must work from 7am-7pm Monday-Friday, be willing to NEVER take vacation. If you do get sick you might as well just go to work because the guilt you get isn't worth it. The compensation isn't worth it either. I wrote over 1 million dollars in business a year, but only made around 60K when it was all said in done. And last, it is a chop shop. What do I mean by this? I mean they bring in college grads that are good looking, and have sports backgrounds. People who have a competitive background. They give them a raw raw session training. Send them out in the business world. The new reps bring in a decent amount of business, then when they get burned out(or never hit the quota that again is impossible to hit) they are fired. What happens to the account? It is handed off to an account manager who they are paying 30K a year. SO, they no longer have to pay a sales rep and they get the profit from the account. Now that is a hell of a business plan. This is why I decided I was done with the company. I knew(EVEN IF) I became a manager, like I was promised, I would have to lie to these young kids and ultimately crush their dreams. Not worth the 50-80K the managers are making(by the way they will lead you to believe they are making 150K+). My advice is stop reading all of these 5 star posts on here about WWEX. Every one of them are current owners and managers trying to save face and make the WWEX name not appear so bad in the business world. Ask any sales company about WWEX and you will get the real answers. And remember, if you are interviewing with a company and it sounds like they are trying to sell the company to you more than you are to them, its probably not somewhere you want to end up.
