Pros
Coming into this job with no outside sales experience it is great to have support and this company has a solid support system. Whether it is from the District Sales Manager or the more experienced people in the office you have multiple sources to look to when you have questions. Once you go through the basic sales training you also have people to reach out to at the corporate headquarters. The culture of the office and company as a whole is a major pro. It is great going to work in the morning knowing that you are working with people who like to have fun. This can be a very difficult job so it is important to have a fun culture. Compensation is important in any job and this company has a compensation plan in place that gets you excited to go out and get to work everyday. The base salary is competitive, but all the perks of bonuses, residual income based commission and office contests really makes you want to be successful.
Cons
A great deal of your time is spent in the field and that can be a challenge. However, this is explained as a major part of the job and brought up throughout the interview process. As a career, sales can be very challenging. It is obvious that this job would not be for everybody. There are days when you feel as though you have accomplished nothing and can be disappointed in your effort. If you have trouble staying positive this job can get you down.
