Pros

Coming into this job with no outside sales experience it is great to have support and this company has a solid support system. Whether it is from the District Sales Manager or the more experienced people in the office you have multiple sources to look to when you have questions. Once you go through the basic sales training you also have people to reach out to at the corporate headquarters. The culture of the office and company as a whole is a major pro. It is great going to work in the morning knowing that you are working with people who like to have fun. This can be a very difficult job so it is important to have a fun culture. Compensation is important in any job and this company has a compensation plan in place that gets you excited to go out and get to work everyday. The base salary is competitive, but all the perks of bonuses, residual income based commission and office contests really makes you want to be successful.

Cons

A great deal of your time is spent in the field and that can be a challenge. However, this is explained as a major part of the job and brought up throughout the interview process. As a career, sales can be very challenging. It is obvious that this job would not be for everybody. There are days when you feel as though you have accomplished nothing and can be disappointed in your effort. If you have trouble staying positive this job can get you down.

Pros

Training is cool in Dallas, the guys teaching it down there know what they're doing. Base salary isn't too bad.

Cons

Going door to door in the rain, snow, and heat in a suit. Make around 50 cold calls a day to get one good lead. Once you sell the product you must deal with the constant problems that are associated with shipping. Monopolistic business model with the partners. Outside sales job where you have to use your personal cell and car with no real reimbursements. Extremely high turnover rate.

Pros

Pretty flexible hours. Are out on your own often in the field. They let you leave early on Fridays, don't question sick days, are pretty easy going. It's not a hard job by any means. The managers pretty much run your first few appointments for you. Training isn't terrible and they send you to Dallas for a free trip. Great to be an account manager over account executive. You just have to be a good looking woman and deliver cookies to current clients (no really!) to bask in glory. You'll still complain though, must be a side-effect. Keep telling them you work hard!

Cons

Gets boring quick walking door to door asking people if they ship fedex or ups every day. They kinda lie and say they are UPS to get in the door when they are just a reseller of UPS. Salary is weak and it a very slow progression to increase your pay. If it's your first job out of school, try it and you'll find out what you don't want to do with your life.
