Going downhill fast

Pros

I believe the people that work here are genuinely good people.

Cons

What used to be a vibrant, flexible work environment that was ahead of the trend in WFH and employee benefits is now a strict environment with no flexibility, poor morale, routine layoffs, and low pay and minimal raises.

Pros

Decent benefits, coworkers and good starting job.

Cons

New CEO Mike Stigers is killing this company with quiet firings. There is an absolute abysmal work life balance now with the non hybrid schedule. Despite being forced to be in the office I'm feeling further apart from coworkers. The whole office is just a depression mill. Everyone's mental health is in decline. People are quitting left and right and not being replaced. Layoffs would have just been a better option at this point rather than making your employees so mad that they want to quit. Given the lack of pay and forcing a non existent office culture, this company will attract bottom of the barrel talent. It seems like this company's lifespan may be another decade to allow Mike Stigers to bleed this company of all its assets

Pros

Good health, dental, vision insurance

Cons

The company is going downhill. The new ceo Mike Stigers is trying to turn Wakefern into one of the other grocery companies he's worked at. Most of them he ran into the ground. He fired all of the senior vps and brought in people from other places he's worked at. For some reason he's forcing everyone to work in the office when the people he himself hired don't even live in the state. Do yourself a favor and work somewhere else, because Wakefern won't be around in 10 years.
