Pay was decent and close to home.

Cons

Honestly this job was the worst job I ever worked in my life. The office politics and lack of training was a horrible combination for my physical and mental health. I have never worked in such a toxic environment and am grateful I learned what I will not tolerate in a job. Not all departments are horrible, but the department I was in was on fire all the time. I have never seen a department so unorganized and people so two faced in my life. Hope I never have an experience like this one again and wouldn’t even wish it on my worse enemy.

There was always a lot of food available.

Cons

I don’t even know if I can put into words how negative my experience was at Wakefern. The department I worked in was ran by mean girls and a VP who was desperately trying to be young and relevant despite being old and overplayed. People stay there forever which makes them think they are great. If you don’t drink the kool-aid you are odd man out. They do not respect work-life balance and operate from a place of intimidation. I truly believe the company is filled with narcissists. It is a scary place.
