Opportunity for Growth!

Pros

The Sales team is doing great things and some awesome new accounts are coming in and allowing the PM team to grow. Walton has an aggressive growth plan and is very customer focused. We pay our vendors in 15 days which allows us to develop a nationwide partnership with our vendors and a key reason we produce the results we do.

Cons

I would be great if the PM teams were able to sit together in one area, that would create an even stronger team bond.

One thing we pride ourselves in is listening to our employees. We have grown to the size now that is more important than ever. A year ago, as part of our long term strategic plan we moved our Corporate offices to a beautiful 25,000 square foot Class A office building conveniently located to the airport and to our employees. The overall design of the space has solved the problem you expressed, and we couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out.

A Horrible Culture!

Pros

The workspace cubicles aren't the worst I've seen. For the most part I enjoyed the people I worked with. They have pretty good cupcakes at the monthly company meeting.

Cons

There is definitely a glass ceiling at Walton with no chance to move up in the company. Once you have negotiated your salary and position you will be stuck. You will not be treated like an adult and if you work 60 hours a week you might get a better title like senior program manager and an increased work load.

First of all, we are thankful for the feedback. We take all feedback seriously and encourage employees to meet with their managers, their manager's manager, up to and including the CEO, who is more than willing to meet with any employee. There is nothing we want more than for our employees to advance in their careers and to be happy. Our culture is unique and for that we don't apologize. We also recognize it's not for everyone, so we work very hard in the interviewing process to explain it to candidates so they can make an informed choice. Having said this, we recognize there are many areas we can improve in and the "micro-managing" is an area that we have identified as one that we are currently hard at work on. Thanks again for this feedback!

Could be a great company if they could figure out how to keep turnover down.

Pros

Flexible schedules, friendly coworkers, profit sharing, SPURS tickets, massage day, etc.

Cons

Poor communication from upper management, executive team will wear you out with their micromanagement, constant revolving door of executives which in turn means constant change of direction when you get a new exec in, little to no on-going training.
