Pros

Great team players, and a plethora of highly talented people. Empowers you to make change; gives you responsibility early on. Acceptable benefits as compared to others in the OFS industry

Cons

No career path for non-field personnel. Poor or no work-life balance. Too high personnel rotation at all levels, job uncertainty.

Pros

There are a lot of incredibly experienced, brilliant, and dedicated people working here. Many of them are making the best of very poor management and achieving best results for customers despite lack of corporate strategy and good people management practices.

Cons

As WFT stock price shows, the whole company is incredibly poorly managed. Granted, the market has bee incredibly tough in the last 5 years, but other service provider companies have adjusted.

Pros

When I started the company was in a dynamic phase of acquiring new technology and other companies but lacked the vision on how to integrate the new companies and technologies. They brought in excellent people and for a while it was fun and dynamic. But then the reality of the costs came to bear and the promotion of petty individuals who in turn fired and ran off the others whom were competing for the job created a less savory environment.

Cons

Management heavy, worker few. Working excessive hours leads to no real benefit for the employee. Management brought in schlumberger management rejects whom looked out for one another and seemed to think the employees whom did the actual work were the problem. Rinse and repeat. When hired, I knew more about a field than anyone else within the group and ended up teaching them. I went through 9 supervisors within 3 years and suffered from having to earn the trust/raises again and again. Ultimately I took the supervisor role and saw why the turnover was high. I lasted only 1.5 years which was longer than most in that role, before I had enough. Promises mean little. Little external support. Some sales employees are retained after over a year of 0 sales generated. An HR person told me I was a lesser candidate than my previous supervisor - I taught him the material. HR wore a hostile mask to cover their ineptitude. Organizational shake-up and reshuffling does not address actual issues nor does changing the title of the groups. The culture actually harmed many people's work ethic.
