< parking is not only a problem, it's dangerous and scary. Homeless people, empty liquor bottles ... need lot security. < Close parking should be rotated and not always on a first come basis. Managers should give up their front door parking. If indeed we're all a family then we're all equal, right? < While I support bonding with your baby, can't it be done while working at home and not subjecting the whole office to your infant? The building is not set up for a nursery. < The company does lowball employees by playing to "we're a startup" game. If that's the case, then you should be okay with this being "just a job" to people. < Stock options are pointless and not compensation for less take home pay. They mean nothing now. < The office is ugly now. Gone is any sense of hip, creativity. It looks like an Ikea trophy room for the owner. The cubes are his hunting trophies. < People are entitled to be unhappy with the company. It's called an opinion, and management's childish, emotional responses don't help. < Unless there is real change, then your promises (like parking and bathroom) end up being false. Don't be surprised when people don't believe you the next time. < Management demands trust and loyalty without giving it in return. Just like anything in life, those things are earned through mutual respect.

The company does not have any HR staff and it shows. A lot of what I see is mentioned in other reviews but I will repeat: * No trust either direction. Management clearly does not trust the staff and by now, much of the staff feels the same way about management. * We can do things fast or we can do things well or we can do things cheap. But we seem to have an idea here that we can low ball employees and then berate them for being too slow and then berate them for making mistakes. It's tough to feel successful when you must be cheap, fast, and perfect. * There is a divide in the company between the earlier employees and the more recent hires. I can understand wanting to reward loyalty and the people who stuck with things through leaner times but the new hires seem to be, on average, more experienced and seasoned, but are stuck being second class citizens. * No HR, so if you have problems, you just have to hope that they aren't with the people who hold your career in their hands and have had no problem publicly sharing negative comments about ex-employees in the past. * The stock options are a nice idea but are a crutch for management. We may be part owners in some way on paper, but the owners like to play both sides. Bad facilities, crying baby, not enough space? Oh ok you're an owner now so we just need to hold on tight and it will pay off. Have an idea or objection to one of our mandates? Go back to your desk. Same thing with calling us all a family * The office is way too full and I think it's a safety hazard. There's no fire escape, the recent construction means that nobody can communicate with their coworkers easily, the conference space is too limited, and the "picnic" area on the roof is nice if you don't mind airplanes flying over every 5 minutes and remember that it's uninhabitable during the summer. * Parking is still a problem without a solution but they keep hiring without addressing it. The neighborhood feels a little dangerous and there's no security so especially if you're a woman make sure you are careful arriving or leaving when it's dark. * Don't bother applying if you have a disability or a fear of heights, there's only one steep flight of stairs to get up to the office and there's no accessibility to the restrooms or kitchen. I agree with one of the other reviews. If you interview, pay attention to the sizes of the management offices and then the cubicles. Think about where you would have a meeting with a coworker if you came here, or where you would go to make a simple phone call. And if they tell you we're still, "in the process of building things out," ask them when that process started, because it was a long time ago.
