Pros

The entire team actually practices team work; as opposed to corporate organizations that use the term loosely to please various organizational stakeholders. A great idea never goes unnoticed. Mistakes are owned. (Some pretty wonderful things have turned up due to some mistakes made in the past). Management encourages you to stand on your own two feet and figure things out. You still have to fix what was messed up, but it is nice to hear after all is said and done – “Good Job” Management is on the right path. They are not above reproach and can often be found answering phones, rolling up their sleeves and listening to staff suggestions. Because of management's ability to orchestrate day to day operations like a well oiled machine, it allows WebPT employees to develop some pretty phenomenal stuff and perform some of the best customer service I’ve seen in a long time. Bottom Line: WebPT fosters an eclectic and somewhat unconventional approach to doing business. It’s refreshing, and spontaneous at times. It can literally take your breath away with the grace and speed at which this company moves.

Cons

Not enough parking. No good food close by (there is fast food). Stairs…lots of them.

Pros

Solid culture. Employed since 2009, I have been a part of a great team, that has been growing and is now probably 6x larger than when I first started. Even through the crazy growth, we have managed to keep a light-hearted, friendly and upbeat team in place. Not to much griping, and most people bring whatever challenges into team meetings where we can meet the challenge as a team. We also have voluntary as well as mandatory team building events so everyone can take a break and get to know each other. Solid position ownership. For most positions that I have seen, when being put into the position, there is a hands off attitude. Meaning, work is done with little supervision and each employee is trusted and expected to do a good job independently of any oversight. There is an exception to this though, especially as it applies to new positions which work requirements have not yet been fully discovered and has to be shared with management in daily decision making. Flexible working hours. Many employees choose their own schedule, having most schedules starting as early as 5am and working as late as 7pm. Although it is preferred by management to work in the office, in some departments, such as software engineering, we do have the flexibility to work from home when needed. I, as well as other employees, work from home a couple of times a month. Great advancement opportunities. We have had several employees start in entry level positions, such as support, only to advance to positions like QA and Marketing. The company is also keen on hiring driven people that do not have allot of experience. At the same time, the teams are growing very fast, so there is allot of opportunity. Solid pay raises for advancements in company growth. As the company has grown, salaries have become more generous and competitive. Solid Benefits. Has all the standard benefits you can expect from a small company. As of this writing, the only thing we really don't have is matching 401k - although you can get 401k without matching. Also, if you ride public transportation, the company will provide you with a pass. You also get 3 weeks worth of PTO per year. Recession proof company.. Don't expect to get laid off at this company. It has done nothing but grow in one of the worse economies and has been profitable without outside VC, although the company did take in some money from VC to help it grow faster and keep up with its growth rate. Customer driven company. The company bends over backwards to satisfy the customer. There is a great feeling here of integrity and ownership. To be even clearer, the company has shed less than 1% of its customers in its entire existence. It speaks volumes about the integrity and quality of the product the company makes. Good communication. The company makes a large effort to communicate with the entire team, with weekly update meetings where they discuss everything from how the company is doing financially, to what the product is doing in terms of release and updates. Also, even trivial updates are given, such as when to expect certain things by, etc. Instead of releasing a memo, the management team has a roundtable with everyone. Management is much more open with the employees than I have seen in many other companies. Also, you can approach and talk with management about anything, regardless of being business or personal in nature. Solid equipment. The software engineering team gets blazing fast laptops and whenever we can justify the software, we get licenses to software we need.

Cons

Parking issues. Because of the downtown location and being right next to Chase stadium, parking can be troublesome and sometimes you have to park a couple of blocks away and walk a distance in the heat. No close lunch spots. Especially in the summer, there really is not any places to eat in walking distance with the exception of a few.
