Pros

Good salary, carpool program, training days, nice culture, delicious food bar, fun perk days, great for "type" A people if you are otherwise then DON'T apply.

Cons

Unclear goals, young management, numbers driven not quality driven, same tasks every day, no "growth" opportunity, filter reviews online (don't keep bad reviews for products on which is unethical, I wouldn't be surprised if they are filtering this too)

Our managers provide periodic reviews for all employees to highlight their strengths and to focus on what areas need improvement. It seems that you have a misunderstanding about our review approval process. We post our reviews regardless of whether they are positive or negative. In some instances, customers use the review form to ask questions about their order or make comments unrelated to the product. In those cases, we will respond directly to the customer.

Pros

- Great company if you’ve never worked anywhere before.

Cons

- You will be evaluated at 30 & 60 days and they will fire you for any reason they want to come up with. Which is probably why they have an appeal process if you’re terminated. - Not many Black employees in management. In a team of over 20 people there was only 1 Black person and 0 respect for cultural differences. - There isn’t really any HR support. - You’re evaluated based on how your peers feel about you. - Low pay - If you like to be productive over being social, that will be to your detriment. - DISC assessment treated as gospel truth about an individual. - Benefits are not good, if you have a family. - First job environment, not a place for experienced professionals. - Gossip friendly environment - Business decisions aren’t practical and can be costly. - Micromanagement, note to job seekers, if a manager ever tells you they don’t micromanage, they do.

During an employee's first 30-day review, they are given actionable feedback on their performance, future expectations, and performance metrics for their 60-day check-in. It's important to recognize that employees are not only measured on their performance, but also on their overall contribution to the team and company culture, based on consistent rubrics measuring core company values. We want to emphasize that we take terminations very seriously, and like many companies, we have an appeals process in place for our employees. Our goal is to ensure that all decisions are made with due diligence, and that any employee who feels that they have been unfairly terminated has an opportunity to appeal the decision. DiSC is something that we use within our business to help you understand yourself, to understand others and to help build better working relationships. We understand that there are many things that make someone who they are that don't include DiSC. However, we believe that DiSC helps identify common behaviors and traits in a way that makes it easy to understand for ourselves and others. While we have made progress in terms of increasing the representation of underrepresented groups in leadership positions, we understand that there is always room for improvement. We have made steps to make improvements by implementing DEI training and forming Employee Experience Advisory Groups. If an employee has any concerns about their workplace they are encouraged to reach out to the Employee Experience team which is our internal, neutral point of contact to field questions or concerns. Regarding pay, we regularly review our compensation packages to ensure they are competitive and fair. Employees are encouraged to report any concerns or findings related to their pay to their manager. Finally, we believe in doing the right thing and providing a work environment where all employees are treated fairly and demonstrate a high level of integrity. Your review has been shared with the appropriate management for further consideration.

Pros

Free food sometimes, that's all.

Cons

Do not bother working here. Over my two years of working here as a photographer, I have witnessed racist, misogynistic, and homophobic behavior. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated HR department to report this behavior to; instead, the same managers act as the "HR dept." The managers lack integrity and morals and only look out for themselves to look good while putting fellow employees down. There is no room for growth; instead, managers want to keep you under their thumb and not promote growth or success. They will find any and every tiny, petty reason to build a case against you, to discipline you. They overstep their boundaries and positions of power to get what they selfishly want. Finally, they will use personal details about you (whether your skin color, gender, or gender orientation) to weaponize these details and discriminate against you. For this company to improve, the current managers need to be evaluated and held accountable for their offensive behaviors. There's a "good-old-boys club" mentality in the company, and if you're not a white, straight male, you're not welcomed here. Please take the time to read other reviews about WebstaurantStore; I think you will find this is a genuinely despicable company that other people share similar experiences. Based upon years of negative reviews about WebstaurantStore, it is evident that they are not doing anything to improve further their company, company culture, or employee retention.
