Pros

Doesn't feel like a call center. The ability to manage yourself for the most part (unless you are stuck with a supervisor who likes to breathe down your neck and micro-manage).You can make a lot of judgement calls yourself in regards to customer accounts without having to ask for permission. Free catered lunches everyday from restaurants like Sauce, Pita Jungle, etc. Free snacks available at all times. The HQ for weebly is in SF, developers and product managers do come out every once in a while to speak directly to customers on the phones to really get a feel for what the customer support teams deal with on a daily basis and attempt to implement changes to make the customer experience easily, as well as the agent's job.

Cons

When I first started working here, it seemed like the coolest workplace. Employees were permitted to watch Netflix while working- if it didn't get in the way of them doing their jobs- and movies would play on screens throughout the center. I believe things like this are what really set Weebly apart from other companies. They truly seemed to care about the happiness of their employees. After a few months, all of this stopped. The company preaches about "radical respect" and being as transparent with employees which for the most part is true but there was a notable shift in focus. Leadership buckled down and started monitoring people more closely, a "negative" glass door review was posted by an employee and HR began pulling people they suspected of writing it into a room to ask them to revise the post. The people that were pulled in to speak to HR were the people who had confided in them regarding issues they were having at work or things that made them unhappy. Leading everyone to believe that speaking up would just put a target on your back. Also, this is a sales job. Every two weeks you are expected to meet a certain number in order to be considered in good standing which compared to other companies in the same industry, the sales are relatively reasonable and attainable. But within the last month, the leadership team announced to agents that the "minimum" number for the sales expectation was going up- effective immediately. Super horrendous as they decided to make this known five days into the 10 day pay period. Completely unprofessional. PTO policy is also really terrible. They justify giving such low PTO because its such a small center and we "need to be available for our customers whenever they call" - the lack of staffing should not be taken out on the current employees that work there. Hire more people so you don't have 45 minute hold times every day.

Pros

The culture is fantastic - there is quite a bit of funding spent on the employees in the form of catered lunches every day, though not as much recently.

Cons

Not a fair review of the job in interview - I have not spoken with one person who feels like they were accurately told this is now a 100% sales job. It's not customer service. It's not technical support. Every call, you are pressured to sell and not spend time on actually building relationships with customers. There is no actual customer support or tech support department; it's all sales. Attendance policy is rigid or flexible based on a case by case, no consistency company wide (I have seen it used to negatively impact employees and I have seen attendance forgiveness to keep good sales people) There is no consistency in one-on-ones with management even if you're struggling; some people here get them once every two weeks, others haven't had one in over 6 weeks. The HR in office is extremely lacking and the large amount of corruption and interoffice politics among management make having one go-to person feel very unsafe because your complaints get filtered through that person's personal beliefs and their own friendships and relationships with who you are filing a complaint against. It is widely thought and believed that the Scottsdale office has a prejudice against women and minorities in regard to offering promotions and support.

Pros

Seeing this company out from day one, I took that very personal. I felt like I was honestly growing with this company. They promised great things to come. All companies say that, but I dove in head first and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I was so happy I found a company that valued camaraderie, but at the end of the day you are just a body filling in the seat. Don't get me wrong, free lunches and the occasional company outing. Even hanging out with the founders was so cool too, but it is all a sham.

Cons

It always feels like you are walking on egg shells there, and how can one person always make everyone feel awful. Not only that when I was first hired we were told: if you want me to check on something or need to email me you need to "tell me how pretty or I look nice today". Joking or not, you might as well have pushed me in a corner and stole my lunch money! I really hope this company changes and really does take true CULTURE into consideration.
