Pros

Driven team with strong technical foundation. Desire to make the application better from the user and technical perspective. Collaborative. Open. Smart. Friendly. Awesome!

Cons

The company is growing quickly. There are open channels of communication, but sometimes there can be obstacles when communicating across groups/teams (although this is very rare).

Pros

In the regular job world, most people hate going to work on Mondays. Most people look at the clock waiting for 5pm to they can clock out and go home to do some else they'd rather be doing. Having worked for Weedmaps over the past 5 years, I have come to the realization that I love Mondays. I don't look at the clock wondering when I can go home. I am home. I have never experienced such a strong bond with fellow workers and management anywhere in the past like I do at Weedmaps. It truly is a family here. Getting to work in a 'Start Up' company environment is excited and always changing. Weedmaps is quickly expanding and evolving into a true 'Corporation', so one of the best parts of being involved is that your voice is always heard. You have the ability to make some really impactful changes around how the company can operate more efficiently moving forward. It is rare to be involved at such a high level so quickly at a growing business with massive potential.

Cons

Every job has its downsides. Being completely dedicated, diving into the Marijuana industry head first, and committing to being a part of the organization is essential to being successful at Weedmaps. If you are lacking in any of these areas, if you want to just clock in / clock out, or just need a paycheck, then I would consider looking elsewhere.

Pros

I've worked for the company for about 7 years, and I don't plan on ever leaving. The leadership and the direction the company is going in are something to brag about. It truly is a great feeling to love your job, your leaders and your coworkers. We are pretty spoiled at Weedmaps! Ticket giveaways for baller seats to concerts and sporting events happen often. We sponsor great events and can usually attend those events for free or volunteer to work them. Healthy snacks (and the best junk food too) stocked in the kitchens, on site gym, company paid benefits, product sampling ;), traveling, I can go on forever! The absolute best thing about working at Weedmaps is the freedom to be your true self. No need to put up a front at work, that can be exhausting! All of us here are so different from each other, it's wonderful! The beauty of the marijuana industry is that it brings all people together, and Weedmaps is a great example of that.

Cons

There is a lot of work to do, you will never be bored! If that's is even considered a con, I happen to enjoy it.
