Pros

-food -buildings are always clean -decent benefits

Cons

Management has zero idea what any of their workers do. They will use and abuse you in order to make themselves look good. Most of management has been with the company for years and basically if you brown nose your way up the ladder you’ll get there no matter what type of skills you may have... or lack for the matter. You can be proficient in everything and yet you will get little to no raise or opportunity for one. If you aren’t kissing someone’s butt then you aren’t going to make it very far in this company. Forget about good work ethic because as long as you’ve been here long enough you can be as negative and lazy as you please. The workplace is heavily revolves around politics and whether or not you know someone who is higher up.

IT is a revolving door

Pros

They have a nice campus and a good cafeteria. The grounds are very well maintained, and the fitness center is top notch. Too bad you will be too busy to enjoy these things.

Cons

Their strategy is to hire IT consultants rather than employees. There are almost no long term employees left in IT. Career growth is a joke. The consultants keep leaving too, and are constantly being replaced. On the bright side they are providing a lot of experienced people to the Milwaukee job market.

Pros

The rest of your life, you will have a low point to compare against. No matter where you work or how bad it gets, you will be able to say "Well, it's still better than WBMI..."

Cons

I was unsure about writing a review as it felt like piling on, but after seeing the latest wave of obviously management-driven positive reviews to make it seem like it isn't so bad at WBMI, I changed my mind. I believe WBMI is probably a great company to work for if you are not in IT. If you are in IT, you absolutely do not want to work at WBMI. Do not let anyone fool you otherwise. It is flat out terrible. If you are a dictator who knows everything and can get into management, then by all means take the job. Or, if you like to be treated like a child and you like to brainlessly follow marching orders into hell, you might want to consider applying. For the rest of the review, I will compare being an IT Associate at WBMI to a fast food restaurant: 1. Quality of work is about the same, especially if you get to clean the bathrooms at the fast food restaurant. 2. You have about the same amount of pride in your employer. 3. Management gives about the same level of respect at either job. 4. Working in IT at WBMI has about the same impact on your health as eating fast food everyday. 5. Turnover is about the same. 6. Feedback is put into a box that no one will ever read. 7. Software development is a process as easy as making deep fried duck strips, fresh from a creek. Not that easy, you say? Sounds like you aren't a team player... 8. The Hamburglar has more ethics and common sense. 9. You are a faceless employee putting money into the pocket of a clown at the top.
