Pros

2 months of a litte pay while looking for a real job

Cons

Too many to list but here's few. First, Company has no marketing or advertising strategy so it's unknown to area's outside of Cincinnati. Second, Management wants to know what you are doing every second of the day. Micro Management is an understatement. Third, After the second month you get little money and still expected to procure 12 families a week to let you into their homes and sell them life insurance from a Company they have never heard of. I could go on but I would be wasting more time on a Company that has taken enough from me. I have 20 years experience in the business and owned my own Insurance Agency, only went with this company to supplement income after selling my p&c business. Huge mistake, horrible company

Be wary of 5-star reviews!

Pros

If you sort the reviews by date (not by popular or featured, but click the button for “Date” up on the right, above the first review), you’ll see an interesting pattern. Negative reviews are almost immediately followed by one or more (sometimes several more) 5-Star reviews. Come on. Even the BEST companies are not 5 stars in all areas. Be wary of these reviews and make a decision for yourself. This company has a lot of problems.

Cons

If you are interested in serious financial career pursuits or professional insurance agencies, this is not your pick. I have now worked in both the field and in Mgmt. It’s a typical corporate environment, but with the added bonus of not being very progressive. (Women, beware!) Not surprisingly, people in positions of power say and do whatever they please (at the expense of good employees). Not to mention the use of antiquated systems, processes and expectations that change almost weekly (so they can chastise or put employees on notice at will) and the cheap setup of (most) offices in the field. Mistreatment of field employees (including HR violations), coupled with idolization of management figures results in toxic environments.

Pros

Lots of freedom to do things outside work hours. Clerical staff is always helpful. Free Gym Membership. Free business cards.

Cons

The average weekly income is a lie, because they have veteran Reps that make the average higher. Newer reps struggle. Management only has a limited window to train and help you because they are constantly hiring new Reps due to large turnover rate. You pay out of pocket to be allowed to sell Group Health and Disability. Unless you exploit friends and family you will not make any money. The Book of Business you are given by management is garbage and has already been cherry picked by the tenured reps. Series-6 is a mandatory thing, not just because of company "policy", but because that is all management wants to push. They are forcing Salesforce integration company-wide, but no one knows how to properly use it...including the company trainers. Morals are preached about there, but company wants you to lie to clients to close sales.
