Pros

Good pay and benefits. Some great people to work with that want to do it right.

Cons

Way too many managers, some are outstanding, most appear incompetent. Company is in Bankruptcy for good reason. Very mismanaged from the top down.

Pros

-The salary and benefits are pretty good. -Smart and friendly coworkers

Cons

-Work/Life balance is atrocious. 60 hour weeks (with little to no overtime pay) and mandatory Saturdays are quite common. -The byzantine policies and procedures make doing even the most mundane engineering work take 10 times longer than it should. -The company has filed for bankruptcy and its financial future appears dubious.

Pros

Good money and good people.

Cons

I was part of the Design Engineering team that helped resolve construction issues that arose on the Vogtle site. I got along fine with my coworkers and respected them a great deal, plus the money was good. However, the company was poorly managed over the years and driven into a deep financial hole that threatens the international conglomerate that is Toshiba. Instead of taken accountability, the management placed it on the workers to help them get out of their predicament by urging workers to fully dedicate themselves to working hard as "One Team, One Vision" while simultaneously cutting pensions, merit raises, 401K contributions and freezing the hiring process. Thus, instilling an environment on site with low morale and high negativity. There is no incentive to work hard if there are no growth opportunities.
