Pros

Cafeteria, free parking, relatively new building despite the constant water leaks

Cons

In one simple word, the IT Department is a disaster. The entire structure is wrong (outsource with CDW who has little care if it's done right or wrong?). The CIO has no clue. The Directors have no clue. The "managers"? Even worse. People should not be placed into management positions simply because they've been employed for 20+ years. There might be a reason they weren't ever put into management before... That's another issue. Too many management personnel in IT have spent their entire careers with Westinghouse or CSC. Both IT Departments are horrible. The worst part about these management employee's is that talented individuals from outside companies come into the department with fresh ideas and those in management refuse to listen. They are so stuck in the Westinghouse/CSC mindset that they can't see the forest through the tree's. Automation? Ha. Monitoring? Ha. Improvement? Ha. Just keep doing things the old way which will take 10 man hours instead of automating it in 1 man hour (never mind creating and having a future process to utilize). I have seen so many talented employee's leave for these reasons. They wanted change. They tried to implement change, but those in power in the IT Department have not moved past 1995 and want to keep doing things the "old way".

Pros

I've been told the pay is circumstantially competitive. Nice facility. They offer alternate work arrangements including telecommuting but only in light of an employee retention initiative.

Cons

Even before filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy the raises were poor (if at all existent) and there is no emphasis on personal or career development.

Pros

Some good hardworking people. Unfortunately they are about to be robbed of their pension as a result of deceitful accounting.

Cons

Management cannot be trusted to deliver on their commitments to their employees. Westinghouse secretly revised the agreement for severance pay immediately before bankruptcy to exclude payment in the event of bankruptcy. Now the pension payment is in doubt.
