      Good people, bad management, ruthless executive management which sees itself as being above all other employees

      Pros

      Work is interesting and there is always room for innovation, so if you are a self starter you will enjoy it here. Alternate work arrangements such as 9/80, 4/10, and telecommuting help to get your work done while still having a life outside of work.

      Cons

      Nearly all engineers, including those with 30+ years of industry experience, completely disagree with the management style. Executive management see themselves as above all other employees, and seem to make decisions without considering the opinions of even the most experienced engineers. The general consensus is that executive management couldn't care less about keeping people employed.

      The nuclear industry is a critical component of the global energy picture, especially when you consider the value of carbon-free baseload generation. The people at Westinghouse are continuing to develop the leading nuclear technology in the world.

      not many being a tech

      Cons

      bully supervisors and upper management . raises are based on who they like and not the work you do . dont speak up , dont speak out or you will be reprimanded . regime style management . layoffs at the bottom when the real problems are at the middle management and director level . heavy work load , long hours , extremely poor scheduling add in the self imposed emergencies and there you go
