Worthy industry to produce clean energy

Cons

Executive leadership brought in to clean house. Only mission is to make money for parent company. No concern for employees. In fact shady decisions being made to force longer term, higher paid and older workforce out the door so they can replace with younger less expensive workers. Now Westinghouse is just like any other dysfunctional corporation.

Used to be a nice place with a very good culture

I used to be extremely happy with my job and my workplace. However, since lots of incompetent Customer 1st "graduates" were redeployed into management positions, the culture changed for the worse. The new "leaders" were more interested in micro-management and finding faults than actually solving the problem. I left the company with a heavy heart after 11 years but I realized that the grass could be greener outside this one-time great company. The one experience I had with HR (after I pushed back on a manager's decision that did not make sense) made me understand that the HR department is all in for the company's managers and they do not care about the company's good or their employee.

Cons

Too many incompetent "leaders" promoted as managers / directors / vice-presidents. The recent round of layoffs did not touch any of those guys, therefore I am convinced that the problems will continue.
