Poor Management at all levels but especially at the mid levels, too much management, tremendous amount of nepotism, management only wants 'yes' people working for them, very silo'd, lack of knowledge in designing and building power plants, do not know how to develop or execute a construction schedule, regulations are poorly understood by most management, weak corrective action program, Westinghouse and Toshiba are in poor financial situations, limited opportunity to grow because they are down sizing, bad quality of life to work ratio, no true leaders that you would want to follow within the organization.

Not rewarded for taking on additional responsibility. Underperformance was not addressed. Everyone got same merit increase. It was like communism. The only way to move ahead in management was to be a female engineer. Although females made up about 10% of engineering, they were pushing toward 50% of management positions. Do the math - all new management positions, especially to Director and above went to females.
