Thank you for your review. Westlake and its management team strive to cultivate a positive work environment and support its employees to succeed in their roles. Our compensation and benefits plan continue to be a valuable tool to recruit great talent into our organization. In addition, Westlake offers a competitive bonus structure along with a variety of recognition programs to emphasize the value we place on our employees. We are disappointed to hear that you felt you needed more support from management. We have noted your concerns so that future Westlake employees do not experience similar gaps in expectations. We wish you had experienced more opportunities for positive feedback and recognition during your time with the company. We appreciate your time with Westlake and wish you success in your next opportunity.

Pros

Great stepping stone, flexibility to learn and test software, great way to learn new stuff.

Cons

Overworked, underpaid, management feels like they own you and they can shout out at you to alleviate their own stress and feed their egos. Only way to move up is if you suck up and they reaaally like you, or want to get in your pants, regardless of whether you know how to do your job or not. (Very sad - and no, I’m not making this up)

Pros

Excellent leadership and mentorship—there’s a lot to learn from the team here. The experience can truly set you up for a successful career beyond the company. The work environment is also enjoyable, with frequent company-sponsored events and a strong sense of community. Hard work and accomplishments are generally acknowledged and appreciated.

Cons

One challenge is the noticeable 'Boys Club' culture, which can make upward mobility difficult. Many in leadership are long-tenured and firmly established, limiting opportunities for advancement. While promotions may be discussed, they often don’t materialize. Compensation is heavily bonus-driven, with limited opportunities for base salary increases.
