Pros

Legacy is strong and has a good reputation generally in the market Wiley family is still involved are great people Good, well-regarded products

Cons

Constant reorganization, new leaders come and go, strategy changes constantly and employees are not included in decision making. Peoples roles are eliminated or restructured without a clear understanding of what they actually did or what impact thier loss has on the business or on other colleagues.

Pros

Work life balance PTO time

Cons

Culture is toxic. Layoffs are always on the horizon. There were two layoffs within a 6 month period in 2022. ELT does follow through with strategy’s. ELT is not in touch with the HE market.

Offshoring managers was a big mistake

Pros

The office in Hoboken was nice. Quiet place to meet and get work done.

Cons

Everyone’s getting laid off and key role moved to Sri Lanka - including the management and leadership ones - So US employees are now reporting to Sri Lanka just so CTO/CIO can save a buck and call it a success. It’s not effective and the teams are dysfunctional.
