Pros
Opportunity to work with great people, students and the public. Holidays and insurance were nice. In many cases lots of great equipment... .
Cons
Once you are in you are STUCK! No pay raises for over 5 years! Pay is the same no matter how much experience you have or how much education you have... every instructor starts out at 40K. Started out 90% instruction 10% administration then shifted to 20% teaching and 80% other stuff.. Wiregrass is good at adding responsibilities on your plate but doing nothing to compensate you for your hard work or effort. They take advantage of your career and experience to propel their programs but no matter how successful you are they will never do anything for you. If they do promise you something... GET IT IN WRITING.... or it will not come true. ONE OF THE LOWEST PAID TECH SCHOOLS IN THE STATE.... go somewhere else... Oh and don't think that you will be teaching at the college... Noooo way, if they need an instructor at the high school and can't find one guess who has to do it.. .YOU DO! ..They don't care about your college classes the high schools are always top priority ... and no one wants to do them the pay is too low and its only an hour or two a day all week.... pay is like 18 bucks an hr...
