Pros

Benefits. all day every day, the benefits are top tier. Cheap insurance, lots of time off, 401 (k) match. cannot say anything negative about the benefits

Cons

Shift bidding. its stupid method of picking random shifts that rarely work for you, and there is no way around it. its the worst. you will get stuck with a ton of horrible shifts randomly because of this new system and its going to make your work/life balance super difficult.

Better than most!

Pros

The Work Life Balance is exceptionally good. Transparency is a standard we hold ourselves to for our customers and for fellow Wisers. The Culture aligns with our values to get things done by prioritizing our customers, and being creative about our solutions. The goal is to contribute to energy that will produce karma instead of drama.

Cons

Wisers have a personal Learning and Development budget that can be used as they see fit, but maybe guidance through L&D opportunities would be good. Additionally the feedback culture facilitates real opportunities for self growth and awareness, yet could be better if L&D opportunities were offered to develop communications skills as a whole.

Pros

Limitless positive energy from executive management. Free trip to Estonia every summer.

Cons

Imagine working in the same role for two years, only to learn that your wage increases were only the result of the entry level pay for your role being raised. Imagine training new employees who are being paid the same wage as you, after having been with the company for years. Imagine having no immediate manager to champion your concerns. You have to handle it yourself and pray that middle management remembers you, amidst their own dysfunction. What's it like working at Transferwise? Just like working anywhere else.
