Pros

Well established company with tons of history and portfolio diversity. There are many avenues to take your career because of the vast diversity of the organization

Cons

this place is a mess! Because it's an older company, there are very old ways of thinking that don't allow for employee diversity, updated technology or career challenge. All of this affects revenue and revenue is literally the only thing management thinks about. Management needs a complete overhaul. Again, old ways of thinking and therefore when new people are hired they have that same sense of doing the same old ways of selling and marketing but require high revenue from each department. There are also frequent layoffs with no real rhyme or reason. The people who don't do much or produce new ideas stay while the individuals who have a clear customer focus and know how to move the needle are let go. Many times the same amount of work is just redistributed to the employees who are left. Little work/life balance.

Pros

— Work/Life balance is very good — Benefits are decent

Cons

— Reorganization has created a low point among team. — Low compensation and bonuses cut almost 40% this year. — No career development path and do not bother to ask for one. Those requests are usually ignored as management would rather hold the power instead of developing their employees. — If working three-five years behind the industry is your goal, then this is the place for you. — Processes currently in place are ineffective, slow, and no one in management makes efforts to fix it. Worse, they will not take ideas from team members. To succeed the best advice is simply “do it yourself.”
