Pros

Some talented coworkers Exposure to decent client projects

Cons

Very vertical, hierarchical culture — you need permission for almost everything, which slows down work and discourages initiative Management is poor at communication and decision-making Leadership focuses on hierarchy rather than supporting employees Bonuses are frequently delayed or uncertain, which makes planning difficult and hurts trust Lack of empowerment and transparency leads to frustration and low morale

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are disappointed to hear your experience isn't the one we strive for here at Woolpert. Woolpert is very focused on providing a high-touch, collaborative culture, and we continue providing further employee and people management development as we grow the firm. We'd like to learn more about your perspective and invite you to reach out to your HRBP (Melissa Z.) so we can work on making further improvements.

Pros

The only thing that Woolpert had going for them was their freedom to work policy.

Cons

Ever since COVID, Woolpert is in a state of trying to find their true identity through trial and error. They had a series of reorganizations but the results were still the same. They also bought other firms every other month, but we did not know how they would function or contribute to our workflow, so it was just confusing as to why the acquisitions instead of hiring externally/promoting internally.

We appreciate you taking the time to drop us a note but are sorry to hear you felt we missed the mark in communication. Historically 2-3 firms join Woolpert per year; our acquisitions add staff who build onto and supplement internal career development to achieve our vision to be a premier global AEG Company. We definitely value the voice of our employees and are always looking for ways to improve. We conduct global surveys twice a year; our latest one just concluded where we had nearly 90% participation! Thanks again for leaving us feedback and we wish you the best!

While glad to hear you enjoyed the flexibility we strive to offer, we are sorry to hear you felt your experience working at Woolpert missed the mark. We have worked hard to create a comprehensive onboarding process when we do bring on additional businesses. This includes having a high touch approach with great involvement from all aspects of the businesses. We are always looking to improve as we find a "One Woolpert" culture very important. We wish you the best in your future endeavors!
