More Downs than Ups

Pros

- Autonomy to treat psych disorders, AUD, and OUD - Ability to work 4 10's or 5 days a week - Decent base salary, it's a little over the industry average

Cons

- Large provider turn-over - Psych training can be more comprehensive - Require a minimum of 8 min follow-up appts and 45 min inductions! This is a bit long and ridiculous for addiction med, seeing as the direct competitors only require 3 min follow-ups. This puts a lot of pressure on providers to extend visits. Just wondering what the intentions behind this requirement are and if it's related to increasing reimbursement for the practice. - No bonus structure, unlike competitors that have such structure. This should be included as providers are also treating more conditions than just OUD like psych disorders, nicotine dependence, and AUD - Management is not very motivating, will micro-manage to point out weaknesses but not strengths - CME budget is low for industry standard

Pros

Experience, kind clients, easy to navigate

Cons

Management has caused this company to fall apart. I started this job several years ago and enjoyed my time there. I was helping clients for most of my time there. Then we began laying people off but hiring other positions who were not right for the company. At the end of my time there it felt like they were doing it just for money and not for the clients we were supporting. Shortly after I left, counseling was removed as an option for our clients, which was a big selling point for clients and then they were left in the dust and counselors were left with paperwork instead of supporting clients.

Hello, and thank you for your feedback. While we did go through layoffs in June that were a direct result of the DEA’s proposed new rules, we know this still does leave lasting marks on our former employees who were affected. To be clear, these layoffs referenced here were completed in June 2023 and no more layoffs are anticipated. Workit did not replace these roles, and it is categorically not true that these reduced roles were replaced with new staff after that layoff. We have created new jobs in November and December, as we grow again. In terms of any changes for the clients, I'm sorry to hear your previous experience in June wasn't a strong one. We are proud that each iteration of our model of care goes through rigorous testing with members, with iterations only becoming permanent if members favor this change. I'd like to hear more about any previous changes you were unhappy with, though, as we're always open to improving both our employee and member experience. Thank you again for your feedback, and the opportunity for us to clarify our internal processes. If you’d like to discuss further, please feel free to get in touch with me directly at sirvine@workithealth.com. If not, then I continue to wish you the best in your new role! Warmly, Sara Irvine VP, People & Culture

Pros

Work from home, decent pay

Cons

The worst job I’ve ever had. No work life balance. A lot of people in positions with no experience relevant to their role. There is always a lot of staff turnover on every team. Horrible communication about changes and no input from providers was considered when making changes when leadership changed. Rushed visits and sketchy billing practices. This place does not care about the patients, only money.the don’t care about the employees either. The culture is horrible and the opposite of what they claim. Lots of discrimination present here . Corrupt and inexperienced leadership team. I could go on and on. Run as fast as you can.

Hello, Thank you so much for the feedback, though I am sorry to hear you've had a poor experience with work-life balance. Workit offers flexible work schedules, 3 weeks of PTO, 1 week of sick, 12 weeks paid parental leave, and an EAP with work-life balance specific content and therapy sessions. We consistently test these programs against what is offered within the market, and we continue to find these programs are above market. We also care very much about supporting managers to become even more experienced, including providing resources to manager about how to provide work-life balance to their people. I'm sorry to hear it sounds like your experienced fell short of these management values. I take this seriously, and will investigate any gaps in management training exist that within the provider team. Thank you again for your post, and please feel free to reach out to me with any further questions or concerns. Wishing you the best, Sara Irvine VP, People & Culture
