Pros

Pay was good for me (low $30s, and I'm 25 years old). Work was pretty easy. Supervisors were nice and personable, always wanted to work things out with you if there was a problem. Some opportunities for advancement if you're really good.

Cons

Health insurance was mediocre. You might have to work a night shift. Work is based on contracts, so sometimes the government might choose not to renew the contract, which is why everyone on the project got laid off. They gave us two month's notice though.

Shady company, poor business practices

Pros

Little to no management while on site, which means there's no accountability for your job, if you like that type of employment.

Cons

This company does not have your back at all. I made a complaint to my "supervisor" about being harassed by one of the onsite clients, which was completely ignored. There was little to no supervision over my position, which also meant no real training, no opportunity to grow. Anytime I tried to request to use my "professional development funds" the request was denied. It is unclear if anyone in this company has ever been able to use them, as I have heard similar stories from others at different client sites. Their PTO is pretty weak and the rest of the benefit are not at all competitive for the market. Do yourself a favor, and stay far away from here.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, and as an organization that prides itself on our commitment with employees, we are saddened to hear that you did not feel a connection to management or the company at large. While each agency that employees are assigned to have a central point of contact for the work site, we will continue to improve on the connection with our agency-based workforce and team building across all sites. With regards to raising a complaint or utilizing company benefit programs, the Human Resources department is always available to assist with a concern at the workplace, or to take advantage of our professional development benefit program. We communicate our internal process and company benefits to all new hires beginning from orientation, then again through onboarding, and throughout the year with both formal and informal communication. While this particular opportunity may not have been a perfect fit with your professional and personal goals, we sincerely wish you the best of luck in your next professional endeavor.

Pros

none, and don't pay any attention to the company response, it is far from honest or genuine.

Cons

The company was a subcontractor here in Vermont for the Homeland Security Tip line, there was no leadership, concern for employees or communication with the client. Pay was $15.00 hr/ the company charged the client more then double. All workers got was two 15 minute breaks per day. In April we were told the contract would run until September, everyone was laid off in May.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, and we are sincerely sorry your experience wasn't as positive as it could have been. Please understand there are many dynamics involved in government contracting, and we try to avoid negatively impacting our staff at all costs when it comes to compensation and funding. The company has prided itself on setting the tone for true open dialogue between the corporate office and our remote locations, and will look to further enhance this moving forward in light of your concerns. We certainly understand the frustration with a contract ending early and with little notice, but welcome you back should a position be of interest to you in the future.
