      The employees are fantastic...

      Pros

      - really smart technical people - challenging environment - work hard / play hard mentality - training money available - very focused on jr. staff - lots of opportunity for promotions if you are a help desk employee but none if you are more senior

      Cons

      - work life balance isn't great. Lots of talk about hiring more people but little action - salaries are low for the amount and type of work - training money available but not time to use it - training budget is so small it can't be used for a class - top management is disorganized and quick to point out people's faults - bonuses are tiny compared with the profits - top management spend time focusing on things that don't matter to the employees

      Outsourced IT done different

      Pros

      Close team, lots of knowledge transfer. Good technical procedures that cookie cutter to each install. Fun and funky place to work.

      Cons

      Salary is low compared to industry scale. Most jobs are basic bring up and clean up jobs, then basic maintenance. Not too much advanced work, so growth caps out if you hit senior consultant level. Senior management doesn't have great people skills, but has good tech skills, and this doens't always work out.

      Pros

      Remote, full benefits, OK pay, Some workers mean well and work hard.

      Cons

      Employees are increasingly feeling as though they are being treated more like machines than valued individuals. Rather than focusing on improving the processes behind common tasks, performance concerns are primarily being addressed through formal write-ups. The current policy allows for four infractions before termination, unless an employee is able to complete an entire year without a single error or show "Improvement".
