      Smoke and Mirrors - be careful

      - Free coffee and nice offices - Young vibrant teams - Weekly socials are fun

      Cons

      - Extremely political, culture is very much weighed towards individual profile over team. Be prepared to fight to get your name associated with a feature. - Average or below average renumeration - though share plan is decent - Little to no budgets for team building or professional development. Fund your own morning tea's & most PD is woeful and delivered internally - Business model relies on a 1-3 year churn on employees, and leans towards younger grads and juniors. This creates issues in terms of IP loss and value places on longer term employees (low)

      Still some good people trying to make it work despite it all.

      Cons

      Poor performance is the norm, especially with senior leadership. Hierarchical authority obsessed management. More focused on appearances than reality.

      Bullies and micro managers

      Great if you’re in the right team or if you suck up to the right person

      Cons

      - Middle managers bully and micromanage to overcompensate for their inexperience - Middle management block promotions internally and will play mind games with their team - upper management will put said managers on plans. Said manager will ‘behave’ for a few months, then go back to their old behaviour. Rinse and repeat
