Pros

Incredible benefits and rewards to the sales team. No hierarchy of management. Immediate manager offers full support and training when needed. Xero is a company that cares for their customers and their staff, and this really shows. It's a company you can be proud to say you work at as everyone loves Xero. I'm lucky to be in a relatively new team so I get to take ownership and really make a difference. The offices are modern and have arcade games, ping pong and snooker tables, coffee machine & fizzy drink fridge, stand to sit desks and working with macs. No uniform- casual attire. Free food before team meetings (bacon butties in the morning), fish n chips and prosecco have also been provided in the afternoons. Internal social networking platform is really good for showing staff appreciation in an ever-growing company. Really exciting company to work for, partnered with microsoft and apple, to name a few. Xero shows no sign of lacking and that makes the journey very exciting.

Cons

Salaries could be better, although they are not extremely low. Xero is a company i'd like to work for , for a long time but cannot see this being feasible on my standard salary. Sales targets are unrealistic (not many, if any, people hit them) so can be demotivating, and sometimes makes you fear for your job (if you're in sales). There are a couple bad eggs in the office.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. We've been working hard on developing our employee benefits in the UK and so it's good to know you appreciate what's now in place. We were delighted to get a 'very good' rating from our participation in the Best Companies survey recently. We know our sales targets are stretching but we're a growing company who are establishing a huge market presence and large customer base. So, the emphasis on great sales, great process and fast pace is definitely part of life at Xero for us all, including our sales teams. We have a fantastic product though and a world class team of sales specialists and account managers so please pull in support from your manager and colleagues who are here to help you succeed and hit those sales targets.

Pros

There are so many pros of working for this company. First things first, the work is ever changing, interesting, challenging, and engaging. However, if that isn't enough, you can rest assured that with every passing minute, you will feel as valuable, as wanted, and as much a part of the team as that last piece of brownie at your Nana's house. The employee benefits are too numerous to list, but take comfort in the fact that you can drink all the coffee you like during the day, and socialize at the end of the day by playing Fifa on your office's PS4.

Cons

Xero take the stance of "A's Hiring A's". This is perfectly fine except in some cases, the salary of some roles doesn't reflect the value of the individual in that position.
