Pros

Free soda fountain. Free bagels on Fridays. Health benefits partially subsidized by employer.

Cons

As noted in previous reviews, XIFIN has a longstanding reputation for treating employees poorly. Management plays favorites to the point that it is noticed by almost everyone in the company. This is especially apparent In the Implementations and Technical Implementations groups. Recognition and compensation are slanted toward personality and like/dislike. Turnover is high and morale is very low. Motivation from management comes in the form of criticism and intimidation without complements or rewards (except for the favorite(s)). The company is top-heavy with many of those toward the top hired from the outside and not knowing the business or software. No matching 401(k). Engineers are playing “catch-up” in trying to provide promised functionality without introducing new bugs and while fixing the many bugs existing in released software.

Pros

Only 1...There are some quality decent people with hearts and souls employed here, if only management recognized those qualities as assets.

Cons

Under pay compared to similar jobs at both industry competitors and similarly sized companies across industries. Management choses favorites, and everyone in the company is made well aware of who they are and who they are not. If you get sick, especially in your first 180 days, make sure you email everyone in the company, make sure your doctor emails you and everyone in the company because god forbid you get violently ill, end up in the hospital on a work trip and do what most people do, call your boss to tell her you're sick and end up missing most of the trip because they will terminate you for failure to develop as expected, even after telling you to your face that everything is fine, just get healthy. Even if you have performance reviews after the first 30 and 90 days saying you are exceeding expectations.

We agree that we have many great employees with amazing hearts and souls employed at XIFIN. I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience and I'm not clear about the details however we are generally a very understanding company and would not penalize an employee for a one-time episode that resulted in hospitalization. I can only assume that there were additional factors. Employees who are not performing as expected will have a harder time. It's not fair to have others pick up the work from those who aren't able to. Again, I'm not sure of your specific situation but I hope you are well and you find a position/company that is a great fit for you.

Pros

There really aren't any worth mentioning. There weren't enough that made me want to stay here. Nope. None at all.

Cons

I don't even know where to begin. Highest turn over I've ever seen, people quitting and getting fired left and right. Almost everyone who works here feels like when they come to work they won't have a job at the end of the day. Management fires people at the drop of a hat and never tells you that you're doing a good job. The pay is lower than most places as well. As another person mentioned, it's like going back to high school. People have their own cliques and they will throw you under the bus to make you look bad and them better to upper management. There's a lot of miscommunication and disorganization. They also care more about quantity over quality. Management is very unprofessional and some use profanity. They pile the workload on you and have very high, unrealistic expectations and expect you to meet all of them. I've worked many jobs in my life but this one is the worse job I've ever had. Seriously, don't bother applying here. It will be the worst decision you've ever made and you will be absolutely miserable. Go work at a hospital or even a private practice. ANYTHING is better than this place.
