Pros
Good technology and ability to sustain market advantages into the future Good people that basically want to do the right things, but are being inhibited by structure and management Nice location - campus is nice with plenty of parking.
Cons
Very political - CYA more important then progress Lack of innovation - do the same thing and expect better results Lack of leadership - new Senior Management does understand the business they are in. Their background is ASICs and expensive tools; have no intuitive feel for customer needs. "Everything must go" mentality of new CEO -- was everything really that broken? Xilinx is #1 in the industry, makes great profits and was holding it's own in market share. Some things needed to be improved, but throwing everything out is not the right solution.
