Pros

I work at Yotpo for the last 8 months and here are a few Pros about our company: - Insane growth that translates into plenty of personal development opportunities - I'm always surrounded by great, inspiring people - Highly innovative environment - You'll never hear the word "no" if you have a good idea to improve a process in the company. Management is always open to hear constructive feedback - Salary and Perks

Cons

Working at Yotpo can be more demanding and time-consuming than average if you aspire to progress in the company.

Not a long term career opportunity

Pros

The NYC office atmosphere is young and energetic. A nice new office space that has plenty of room to grow into and has an overall good vibe.

Cons

This is a decent business for selling to small businesses, but it's not ready for the big leagues. The product is OK for what it is, but would need to make vast improvements in order to scale up. The customer support structure in Israel is not adequate to take on big clients. The leadership team is trying hard; but simply doesn't have the experience or expertise to take the company to the next level. Overall, the company would appeal to someone looking to get some entry level experience, but not anyone with experience or looking to be at a company long term and build a career. Those who think the technology is strong simply don't have much perspective on the SaaS market.

Worst place ever to work.

Pros

There is a lot of energy in the office because everyone is young. You get lunch once a month and the office is on a good location. Honestly, not much is a pro. There is no way you would ever get me to go back there. I'm glad I left the company for a grown up organization.

Cons

The founders seem to make decisions that change the direction of the company almost every month. They let a lot of people go very often which if I were looking to join I would question. Only sell small deals, so if you like working in a boiler room then this is the place for you. No communication across the different departments. Everything is run and decisions are made out of Israel which makes working in NY tough to feel connected to the larger company.

With any growing startup, there are number of challenges. My co-founder Omri and I try to travel to NYC twice a month to mitigate this, but we're not perfect. Fostering an environment where people can grow, prosper, and develop professionally is priority number 1 (over growth, over revenue, and over investor demands), and any time we fail on that count, it hurts. We hope that the people who are on the rocketship with us feel this as well. It's sad to get an occasional review like this one, but I hope our team knows I'm an open door for any suggestions on how to get better.
