Pros

Easy to get hired Lots of PTO Pays okay Lenient on dress code Good resume booster - don't need a degree or experience to get in the door Never boring; always something new to learn Hard to get fired, so it's good job security as long as you show up and try to do your job They know it's a stepping stone and don't guilt you for trying to leave. As long as you leave on good standing and give your full two week notice it's easy to get hired back Insurance is decent compared to other places Most of the people are cool A lot of potlucks and they try to keep a fun/upbeat environment Tattoos are okay Decorate your cubicle as extravagantly as you want to No take-home work. Work stays there

Cons

Management - favoritism, blatant picking and choosing who advances in the company Double Standards Only told what you are doing wrong - no room for proactivity or ingenuity. Stick with the standard and don't try to change anything Extremely limited opportunity for advancement and the annual raises are pitiful Half of management is young and inexperienced and the other half is stubborn and stuck in their old fashioned ways. HR is not confidential. Have to get everything in writing because you're told to do something one way and then next week you are being reprimanded for doing it the way they told you. If you have a disagreement with someone management will stay on the side of the person they like more (I've been on both the favored side and the not favored side so I'm not just saying it because I'm salty). It's stressful and thankless, the clientele is rude and if you are smart you find it necessary to hide your name/job on Facebook so clients aren't looking you up.

Pros

Most Co-workers were friendly, the commute time was good

Cons

Training is poor to non existent. I switched positions in the company to further my knowledge, when I switched I was literally shown my desk and was told to "ask questions". The trainer went on leave for two months after sitting with me twice. I was expected from day one to meet team goals which no one was doing and at the end of the second month I was put on a pip and was terminated at the end of the month for no making goals even though no one else had made them either. The work enviroment is what I would describe as hostile. The treatment some employees receive is completely biased as supervisors have their "favorites" and allow them to literally do nothing all day while others are working from the moment they come in and get absolutely no recognition. There was also absolutely no advancement opportunities, there were no other positions to move to. Only different departments. Interaction with your supervisor is almost completely non existent in my first position with the company my supervisor never voluntarily spoke to me unless she had a direct question. Otherwise I never saw her. The pay was completely unequal if you had a BA you would get paid at least two dollars and hour more than another person doing the exact same job. The whole enviroment was like high school telling on your fellow coworkers would tattle like school children to their supervisor in order to make themselves look better.
