Pros

Impact the lives of inner city youth by exposing them to valuable resources. No limit to the activities that you could share with the youth.

Cons

No real traditional work hours. Youth were wards of the state so advocates were on call 24/7

Pros

They provide weekly "supervisions," AKA therapy sessions for the workers! So, you can discuss any difficulties or frustrations with your co-workers, which is great. They are very organized and on top of their paperwork. Flexible scheduling and great staff. Management is very reasonable and professional. They provide you with in-depth Autism Awareness and other useful trainings. They'll pay for your First Aid/CPR certifications. Highly competitive pay for an entry-level position in this area, particularly with a B.A.

Cons

Hours vary due to state approval; make sure you are teamed up with a BSC who's on top of their game and will fight for more hours. Can be stressful (job itself).
