Opens with optimism, doesn't stay that way.

Pros

Free lunch twice a week (though fairly typical pizza and sandwiches fare). Great health insurance. Individuals you work with are generally pleasant, well meaning, friendly, and interesting.

Cons

Upper management is a nightmare that will force opinions, dangle/give false promises of promotions, pay is abysmal (especially for living in the Seattle area), overtime is a constant occurrence with no reimbursement. While located in downtown, it's located in an area littered with homeless, drugs, public nudity, and shootings. Not the great part of Seattle. Constantly trying to follow in the footsteps of popular titles, not having faith in their employees to produce something good on their own.

Pros

Was able to have an impact on major decisions within the company/games.

Cons

Company politics was a nightmare. The executive team was never on the same page. Information did not disseminate properly to those whose needed it. Decisions were made, then changed, then made again. No work/life balance. Awful compensation compared to other gaming companies in the area. The culture at the company has taken a turn for the worst in the last few months.

Great acquisition, but probably with a painful future ahead.

Pros

Z2 was chosen by King for their latest acquisition. Big celebration!

Cons

The acquisition might feel sweet but the history will repeat itself with another ruthless layoff in near future. Several employees already evaporated, and probably there's more to come. This also means strengthening the sheer nepotism and blatant disregard for the underpaid employees. In order to survive, you either have to be in the circle, or miraculously "be like Mike (Jordan)". Favoritism and sudden org changes should not be overlooked to maintain the Z2/King brand.
