Great employees, but upper management is too overbearing and requires uncompensated overtime way too often

Pros

The employees are the best part of this company. Some seem out of place, but for the most part, it's a great environment do work in, despite the long hours.

Cons

Upper management don't trust their employees to do their job, which results in constant game pivoting without changes to the deadlines. Deadlines are laughably short and require a lot of overtime and weekends with little to no compensation.

Pros

Location is maybe the only thing that keeps the employees. Some on the leadership team are reasonable.

Cons

Favoritism is rampant. Employees are not promoted based on competency, performance and experience. Rather, they are promoted and evaluated based on how well they can brown nose and how long they've known CEO or HR. If you're good at it, you can screw a title and take a paid leave from work for 1 month to go to South America. Of course you won't be laid off or need to apologize. Instead you will even get promoted upon your return.

Tons of potential but getting in the way of themselves

Lots of very talented passionate people, good pay / benefits

Cons

Many members of the management are very green and don't know how to develop their junior talent often putting them in higher roles over seasoned industry staff. Products are not very diverse nor does the company seem to want to foster expanding upon existing ip by trying other directions.
